ABOUT CHARIS HALL TRUE LEADERSHIP

Every person has a purpose, potential worth discovering and the capacity to make a difference.

Many young adults face important decisions about their future before they have had the opportunity to discover who they are, recognise their own abilities or consider what they want from life.

From an early age, much of the emphasis is placed on education, qualifications, career choices and achievement. Yet understanding ourselves, developing confidence and self-belief, and discovering what gives our lives purpose can be just as important in shaping our future.

Without that understanding, it can be difficult to recognise our potential, find direction or develop a vision for what we might become.

These questions are not limited to young adults. At different stages of life, people may find themselves questioning their direction, reconsidering what success means or discovering abilities and aspirations they had never previously explored.

Charis Hall True Leadership is being established to help people explore these questions, discover their purpose and potential, and recognise their capacity to make a difference in the world.

LEADERSHIP BEYOND A TITLE

At Charis Hall, leadership is not limited to holding a position, managing people or achieving professional success.

It begins with understanding who we are and our purpose, and extends into the positive influence we have on others — encouraging, developing and helping others recognise their own potential.

Our ambition is to inspire leadership that goes beyond the individual and leaves a positive legacy for future generations.

A MESSAGE FROM OUR FOUNDER

Jo Hall

For much of my life, I believed that life was about doing well at school, finding a good job, earning a living and working my way up. That was the expectation I grew up with.

But my experience of education had already shaped what I believed was possible for me. Throughout my school years, I was labelled as either average, below average or someone who “could do better.” Those labels stayed with me, influencing how I saw myself, my abilities and what I believed I was capable of achieving.

When you grow up believing you are average, or not quite good enough, it can be difficult to recognise your own potential or imagine a future beyond what others expect of you.

I left school believing that I simply needed to find a job, work hard and climb the ladder. I gave little thought to who I really was, what gifts or abilities I might have, or whether there was something more meaningful I could do with my life.

For years, I moved between jobs, often feeling dissatisfied, with a question that never really went away: surely there must be more to life than this?

It was only much later in life, when I began making time for quiet, reflection and asking deeper questions, that I started to challenge the beliefs I had carried about myself for so long.

Discovering the belief that every person is born with a purpose began to change how I understood myself and what I believed was possible for my future.

That experience is central to why I am establishing Charis Hall True Leadership. I want to encourage others, particularly young adults, to discover who they are, recognise their own worth and potential, and begin exploring their purpose before allowing the expectations or judgements of others to define what they believe they can become.

And for those who, like me, come to these questions later in life, I want them to know that it is never too late to begin.
